If you're planning on getting a peaceful nights sleep full of happy, prancing sheep, you may want to hold off on reading Nailbiter. The newest title from creators Joshua Williamson and Mike Henderson, Nailbiter #1 is an icky and eerie debut that's sure to turn your sweetest dreams into the stuff of nightmares.
Set in Serial Killer Capital, USA (also known as Buckaroo, Oregon), the issue begins with the raid and capture of one Edward Charles Warren, not-so-lovingly referred to as the Nailbiter. One of a long line of serial killers (16 to be exact) to originate from the town, Warren is a particular type of nasty. He chooses victims that are known to chew on their nails, kidnaps them, waits for said nails to grow back, and then gnaws their fingers to the bone before ultimately killing them. If that's not reason enough to switch to manicures, I don't know what is.
