Silver Surfer is really beginning to feel like a love letter to Doctor Who. As a Whovian myself, I find that I'm picking up on so many small things that remind me of the series. It doesn't take away from what Dan Slott is doing, it's just a very different book than I think any Silver Surfer fans were expecting. Silver Surfer may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for any science fiction fan or Whovian, it's definitely worth picking up.
