Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
Finally! We're back on track with the big angel vs. demon arc of the season. Or I guess I should say angel vs. angel against demon vs. demon. There are so many fascinating dynamics to explore between Metatron and Castiel and Abaddon and Crowley that we could have spent much more time with them over the season. Instead, it's going to be crammed into the final three episodes of the season. I'm already hoping some of the story will stay around to lead into next season.
Obviously not the Abaddon part though. How about that death? She shouldn't die in a heartbeat, and they played the dramatic moment just right. It was badass, plain and simple. You've been a terrific Queen of Hell, Alaina Huffman, but no one can topple Crowley. Her departure was a fist pump sort of moment, but it was hampered a bit by concern for Dean.
