Hey guys, Eric and Matt here for, gasp, our second Podcast in less than a week! What the hell?! It's hard enough getting two Channel Surfing episodes in a month! But with a ton of big TV news this week, in terms of cancellations, renewals and new series orders, we managed to sneak another episode in to talk about all of the pre-Upfront decisions at the networks.
We start, of course, with Community being cancelled, which has gotten a lot of understandable attention. On the much happier side, Hannibal was renewed, while this was a huge week for comic book TV shows, as The Flash, iZombie, Constantine and Agent Carter all joined Gotham in getting official series pickups.
We then discuss many more of the last minute cancellations, such as Revolution, and renewals, including The 100 - plus a bit about some of the new series that were picked up, including new CSI and NCIS spinoffs and several NBC comedies.
