20th Century Fox screened a little over a half an hour of 3D footage from their forthcoming biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings at a press event Tuesday, followed by a Q&A session with the film's star Christian Bale, who plays Moses in the Ridley Scott-directed movie.
The segments shown portrayed the overall arc of Moses throughout the film, from the adopted son of the Pharaoh Seti (John Turturro) and foster brother/best friend of heir Ramses (Joel Edgerton) to leader of the Hebrews as they escape slavery in Egypt. Bale's Moses starts as very much a proud Egyptian soldier, loyal to Ramses and the Pharaoh, a deadly warrior in battle, skeptical of religion, and not terribly sympathetic to the plight of the Jews.
