Elon Musk took to Twitter to announce that he was unveiling the D. That is, the Tesla Model D, Tesla Motors' lower-priced, all electric sedan.
It wasn't just "the D" that Musk teased, however. The official announcement will be next week, October 9, and in addition to the Model D, Musk promised another announcement.
Of course, the Internet took the opportunity and ran into it like a field of wildflowers, making all sorts of jokes, but the entrepreneur was amused by the outpouring of 140-character zingers directed his way.
