After its first month on sale, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has sold sixty thousand copies, developer The Astronauts has revealed.
The developer released a diagram (which you can find below) breaking down the sales figures by distribution service and region, while also providing some fun facts about their game. Seventy-seven percent of the game's sales came from Steam, while the remaining twenty-three percent was made up by retail, GOG and other digital distribution platforms. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter sold best in Western Europe, which accounted for fifty percent of sales. However, the single country where the game sold best was the US.
Fun facts about Ethan Carter include the amount of individual blades of grass in the game (159 million) and the amount of players who have clocked in over ten and twenty hours. Also, to this day, only three players have been able to find the game's sniper rifle.
