LittleBigPlanet 3 released today, and it earned its composer an award from Hollywood.
This is Winifred Phillips' third Hollywood Music in Media Award, following her previous work on Assassin's Creed Liberation in 2012 and Legend of the Guardians in 2010. The awards are given to the musicians behind work in film, TV and video games, and this year, Philips won the award for the Ziggurat Theme in LittleBigPlanet 3, a classical arrangement composed of world instruments and natural woodwinds.
Phillips also worked on the God of War franchise, and published the book A Composer's Guide to Game Music earlier this year. Her Ziggurat Theme can be heard here.
