Fox has pulled the plug on struggling reality TV show, Utopia.
The series from John de Mol – the creator of Big Brother and The Voice – stopped filming yesterday. Deadline reports that despite a promising preview, Utopia failed to capture an audience.
Utopia first aired on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the plan to find its place on Tuesday scheduling. After several weeks of floundering, and only managing to pull a ratings audit of 0.8 (around a million viewers) in adults 18-49, the show found itself moved to Fridays.
This past episode, which aired on Halloween, pulled in just 0.5 (approximately 600k).
