I don’t know what’s sadder: The fact that Aayan was killed tonight, or that his last thoughts surely were the realization that Carrie had betrayed him just as his own beloved uncle was about to as well.

Either way, it’s exit stage dirt-floor for actor Suraj Sharma, who must be commended for his performance as the tragically love-struck Aayan these past six episodes. He was great playing the fear, desperation, gullibility, and ultimately the doomed hope of Aayan.
