The original sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica (1978) is getting two new releases on Blu-ray.
Both releases feature both the original 24-episode 1978 television series as well as the 10-episode spinoff Galactica 1980. The Remastered Collection contains the two series remastered in the 16:9 widescreen format. The Definitive Collection, meanwhile, contains the series in both widescreen and the original 4:3 full-frame format, as well as a 125-minute theatrical edit of the premiere episode "Saga of a Star World."
