27 million people tuned in to watch the League of Legends Championship final.
Across the fifteen day long competition - which clocked up over one hundred hours of live content broadcast across nineteen countries - the live stream received 288 million unique hits.
The finale, featuring Samsung White and Royal Club, was viewed concurrently by 11.2 million people - significantly higher than last year's championship final which peaked at 8.2 million hits.
"It’s awesome to see fans enjoying Worlds as a community, whether it’s with 40,000 friends cheering together in Sangam Stadium, or as a group staying up late at a local viewing party halfway across the world," Riot writes on the official website. "We’re honored by your passion and participation. Thank you for tuning in."
