A Question of People Born As Walking Bombs IGN PS3

Dragon Age lore is interesting in that, while it isn’t wholly unique – there are still the tired trappings of Tolkien in its elves and dwarves, for example – it makes those things its own. Far from the sleek unknowables of the forest we’re used to, the Dalish and especially their urban brethren are a broken, pitiful culture who seem less mysterious than needy. The dwarves, far from simple, stout drunkards (let’s conveniently forget Oghren as an isolated incident nobody wanted), are a complex society of tradition and progress vying for social, political, and mercantile standing with and without honour.


Then there are the mages.


Mages have featured in fantasy stories since fantasy stories were a thing, and yet not many of these stories have ever stopped to consider that these people are walking bombs – and what, exactly, that might mean for society and their place in it.
