Several years ago, Apple introduced a security measure system that would allow security updates without users having to do anything. Now, they've implemented it for the first time.
Google researchers discovered a critical flaw in the network time protocol (NTP) that could allow a potential attack from an outside source, according to Reuters. The reports say an attacker could "send a carefully crafted packet that can overflow a stack buffer and allow malicious code to be executed." This flaw could lead to DDoS attacks on UNIX-based systems, such as OS X.
