Empire is Halo 5’s least remarkable map so far, at least visually. The high-tech factory has a handful of easily identifiable locations, but its clinical aesthetic makes its winding, ascending hallways difficult to navigate. It can be challenging to identify a space, and communicate it to teammates, when flanking Empire’s stand-out spots.
Still, it has plenty of opportunity for excellent encounters with the enemy team.
Windowed rooms look out into the dense center, which features plenty of platforms leading to the Sniper Rifle spawn point on an exposed outdoor platform. Those on the ground are exposed, but can hide behind pillars, or climb them to access grenades, and, if they’re feeling reckless, ground-pound through the window and into the room. Atop those platforms, even mid-range weapons like the Assault Rifle aren’t enough to guarantee safety.
