Last week, Square Enix teased a new SaGa RPG in development for PlayStation Vita. And now, series creator Akitoshi Kawazu revealed more information on the upcoming SaGa 2015 (working title).
Kawazu says the upcoming sequel to the long-running RPG will feature open-ended gameplay and multiple protagonists, a staple in the SaGa series, according to an English translation of an interview with Famitsu.
The SaGa series originally appeared in Japan 25 years ago and was released in North America as Final Fantasy Legend on the Game Boy the following year. The game would spawn two sequels on the Game Boy, and later continue with three Romancing SaGa games on the Japanese Super Famicom –– these games were never released in North America.
