Jean-Claude Van Damme is returning to Kickboxer, one of the movies that launched his career. The actor is now in final negotiations to join the cast of the new remake, which also includes Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Alain Moussi (X-Men: Days of Future Past).
THR reports that instead of playing the student, Van Damme will assume the role of master. He's replacing Thai action star Tony Jaa, who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
