Although Valve has yet to announce anything regarding a possible Left 4 Dead 3, a Turtle Rock developer said he wouldn't rule out the possibility of working on the game.
“It would only be possible if Valve wanted it to be that way," Turtle Rock co-founder Chris Ashton told PC Gamer. "It’s their IP now, so they’re in charge of where that goes."
Last year, a visitor to Valve's HQ in Bellevue, Wash. spotted a Left 4 Dead 3 reference in an internal company changelog. No news or announcement followed the sighting (aside from a possible map remake) and Valve has yet to clarify any possible plans for the co-op franchise's future. Ashton said that Evolve is Turtle Rock's main focus right now, but the chance to work on Left 4 Dead again would be a welcome task.
