It's official: Sherlock and The Intimidation Game's Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast as Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange!
Marvel made the announcement today on their official site.
"Stephen Strange’s story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity,” said Marvel Studios president and Doctor Strange producer Kevin Feige said in a statement. “In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character."
Scott Derrickson (Sinister) directs from a screenplay by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus).
Doctor Strange opens November 4, 2016.
