New Gameplay Shown From The Legend of Zelda Wii U IGN All

New gameplay footage from The Legend of Zelda Wii U was showcased at The Game Awards 2014.


The video showcased Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and Zelda director Eiji Aonuma playing various small chunks of the untitled 2015 Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U. The gameplay started at sunset, with Link running to a hillside and surveying the vast expanse of Hyrule in front of him. A huge tower loomed in the background, and the pair commented on how you'd be able to go anywhere you see on the horizon.


Aonuma used a map displayed on the Wii U GamePad to mark a specific spot in the distance. After that, footage was shown of Link jumping off a huge cliff and using the Sailcloth from Skyward Sword to parachute down to safety.
