Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
The spell of shattered sight took what felt like forever to fall upon Storybrooke but once it hit, the effects were instantaneous. The smart thing about what the spell does is that it injects spice into the plot because of its nature. It makes characters act differently and that's an entertaining change for the audience, the story, and probably for the actors. Snow and Charming's curse-induced argument brought some of their best scenes of the season and was a cool callback to the days before they fell in love in fairy tale land.
And Regina's transformation? Forget about it. It's always delightful to see Lana Parrilla go completely evil and knowing that it wasn't a permanent transformation made it less stressful. The sword fight with Snow was silly but in such an over the top way that it was a blast. Ginnifer Goodwin made me laugh out loud when she went after Regina because of her baby and again, their interaction tonight was a highlight of the season.
