There are plenty of reasons to love Westerns – the wide-open spaces, the brutal lawlessness, the way the setting can so easily convey any kind of symbolism – but for most people, it all boils down to one thing: larger-than-life personalities locked in deadly shootouts. Secret Ponchos focuses on that to the exclusion of all else, delivering a cartoony, multiplayer-only twin-stick shooter in which your only goal is to gun down hyper-stylized opponents while frantically dodging their bullets. Short on content but unexpectedly complex, its oddball gunfighters and cover-filled arenas are a lot of fun… once you've played long enough to understand what you're doing, anyway.
