Looks like the public might get a chance to see The Interview after all. After a Sony representative previously stated that "Sony Pictures has no further release plans for the film," on Meet the Press today, Sony lawyer David Boies said, "Sony has been fighting to get this picture distributed. It will be distributed. How it's going to be distributed, I don't think anybody knows quite yet. But it's going to be distributed."
New unconfirmed reports today from the NY Post indicate that the movie may be shown online for free on Crackle, an online streaming service backed by Sony.
