A lot of us love the crime-fighting Ninja Turtles for the humor and escapism they bring - but for one five-year-old boy, they're a source of courage as he fights a rare form of cancer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Harley Renshaw has customized his protective medical mask with a Ninja Turtles-inspired design. The mask holds him still while he receives treatment for neuroblastoma, a cancer in his kidney, lung, neck, and bones. The young superhero fan has endured chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a stem cell transplant, and an operation to remove a kidney tumor.
