True indie platformer classics don't come around nearly often enough for my liking, but at first glance I usually can tell when there's something special. That feeling I had the first time I booted up Braid and Limbo came back while I tried out the deliciously retro-flavored Trash TV.
While Trash TV has the look and sound of classic platformers, the old-school feel extends to the main character itself; an aging 4:3 aspect-ratio cathode ray tube television. In a neat nod to Flower, the CRT is actually brought to life after a sequence where you collect and create a formation of flying pixels that become its omnipresent test pattern.
