At first glance, Wolf Moon feels all too familiar. However, as the narrative progresses and new wrinkles are introduced, it becomes clear that it’s anything but. Writer Cullen Bunn introduces his players quickly and without ceremony, bypassing the usual slow reveal in lieu of a quick and bloody introduction. Said instance sets the tone for the rest of the issue, and while the narrative likely could have benefitted from a touch of restraint (there’s a LOT to process), the book’s boundless energy serves it well in the end.
