Since yesterday, both Microsoft's Xbox Live service and Sony's PlayStation Network have been dealing with serious connectivity and functionality issues, ranging from faulty connections to complete outages.
Xbox Live's support team has since confirmed that the core functions on Xbox Live have been restored for both Xbox One and Xbox 360, including connectivity, online multiplayer, and access to the online store.
Currently, the PlayStation Network remains offline, and a majority of users continue to report a failure to connect on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The latest Twitter update from the PlayStation support team asks users to follow them as they continue to work toward restoring network functionality.
