A classic figurine of Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett fetched more than $27,000 at auction recently,
Bloomberg reports that Fett was one of 70 figurines put up for auction by former United Kingdom Star Wars Fan Club chairman Craig Stevens. It was the rarest of the bunch, and raised the most by far at approximately 18,000 pounds or around $27,221. That accounted for almost half of the $63,209 total in his figurine sales at auction.
Stevens said it would be "terribly heart-wrenching" to watch his items sold off. Along with Boba Fett, figurines of Obi-Wan Kenobi, R2-D2, and Yak Face sold for thousands of dollars each. Other top-earners included Luke, Leia, Yoda, Sandpeople, Darth Vader, and Storm Trooper.
