Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...
This week's Constantine episode, "Quid Pro Quo," had some very interesting things going on - most notably the full story on how Chas got his immortality (or, as we learned, 47 lives).
From an emotional standpoint, it may have helped if Chas's estranged wife and daughter had been introduced earlier (daughter was mentioned once when Chas was off spending time with her), but the origins of Chas' mystical abilities (a sort of ripped-from-the-headlines "Great White nightclub fire" mixed with a Merlin spell drunkenly cast by John) rang true. As did Chas feeling the full weight of the lives (or souls) that he now carried within him like 1-Ups.
