Actor Channing Tatum, who will play the mutant (and X-Man) Gambit in the upcoming Fox Film tweeted this winking message today: "How do you say October 7, 2016 in Cajun?" The tweet, of course, was in reference to the release date for the film. IGN confirmed with Fox that the Gambit movie is indeed coming to theaters then.
No more details about the project were revealed. Many have speculated that Tatum's Gambit could be seen first in X-Men: Apocalypse (coming in May of 2016), but this has not yet been addressed by Tatum or Fox.
Gambit's other big screen incarnation was played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
