Was that it? Did the premiere just need to do away with the ghosts of Season 5 to move on?
"Cash Game" was a very good episode. I don't use that term lightly. This was a clever, well-written installment that led a crumb trail to a solid ending - and left us on a great cliffhanger.
In the middle of it were little pieces that held interest: Boyd baiting Ava with the stuff found in the safe deposit box, the introduction of Calhoun Schreier (the realtor); the peacock scene, and more.
I love how bothered Walker (Garret Dillahunt) was by being called a peacock. Doesn't that say quite a bit about him? About where he comes from? That being called all-hat, no-cattle kind of bothers him? I want to know more. What a nice touch.
