Dragon Foundry, a team composed of designers behind Magic: The Gathering, announced Nova Blitz, a futuristic trading card game with real-time gameplay.
The team's new project is based on some archetypical card game aspects –– deck-building, tournaments, and a variety of cards –– but eschews the normal turn-based gameplay, instead opting for real-time strategy. It's set in a futuristic world governed by arcane powers, according to a Dragon Foundry press release, wherein Novas battle each other using multifarious minions.
The team said it plans to take Nova Blitz to Kickstarter on Jan. 22, and will share more news there before its 2015 release on PC, Mac, iPad and Android tablets –– it will feature cross-platform play between all of these.
