When MythBusters returns on January 10th for its new season on Discovery, it will be without "The Build Team" as Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara are now gone from the series. Which leaves Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman as the only hosts of the show, taking Busters back to its original Season 1 roots.
Kicking the season off with a "Simpsons Special" (where they'll test whether or not a cherry bomb dropped in a school toilet makes other toilets act like geysers), Savage and Hyneman will roll out even more pop culture-themed tests this year - like trying to see if a motorcycle can change into a car (Transformers), testing if it’s really possible to build a working cannon out of stuff in an abandoned barn (The A-Team), and seeing if a person's actually able to disarm a gun-toting adversary with one crack of a whip (Indiana Jones).
