We’ve know for a while now that director Bryan Singer and writer-producer Simon Kinberg were looking to recast younger versions of Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey for their upcoming Days of Future Past follow-up, X-Men: Apocalypse. And now we have word on the actors testing for those roles.
Latino Review has the Friday-night scoop on the trio, with the most recognizable faces in the mix perhaps belonging to the pair of actresses vying for the role of Jean: Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones) and Saoirse Ronan (Hanna, The Lovely Bones). I like it! As LR points out, Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld were previously rumored to be up for the part this past fall, but if Turner and Ronan are actually testing for the gig, they must be pretty far along in the process.
