Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
Having spent most of its time since killing off Moloch with relatively quieter hours that have found Abbie and Ichabod with a bit of a Witness hangover, Sleepy Hollow is slowly inching back to getting more intense (although the days of dark, mythology-heavy Moloch-type storylines seem to be on hold). The return of Irving looks to be the focus of the final episodes, but that remains on the back burner in “Kali Yuga” as it’s Hawley’s turn to take center stage. With a well-established track record of fleshing out its characters through behavior and back story it’s hardly a shock to see Hawley get some attention here. It’s also nice to have the Witnesses strengthen their partnership, whether through karaoke or Death Star garbage compacter escapes.
