UK-based Bossa Studios has revealed its absurd medical game Surgeon Simulator has sold more than two million copies.
Surgeon Simulator began life as a small project built in 48-hours for the 2013 Global Game Jam but Bossa Studios continued to develop it for a full commercial release on several platforms in the months that followed.
“Thanks to everyone who has played Surgeon Simulator and made it such a global success,” said Bossa founder Henrique Olifiers in a statement. “It has been really amazing to see this title go from a game jam project to a full release across multiple formats and is testament to the originality and creativity we nurture here at Bossa Studios.”
