April’s a pretty violent month at the movies, with a child murderer on the loose, a sentient AI trying to destroy the planet, Jason Statham endeavouring to wipe out the Fast & Furious family, and Keanu Reeves hunting down the men who killed his dog.
Release Date: UK & AU April 23, US May 1
Films don’t get any bigger than this – Age of Ultron is the sequel to the third most successful film of all-time, and promises to pit earth’s mightiest heroes against their most dangerous foe yet in the shape of James Spader’s villainous AI. Age of Ultron will also introduce Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Arron Taylor-Johnson) to the MCU, while audiences will get a first look at Paul Bettany’s Vision and maybe even Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. It’s Joss Whedon’s final Avengers flick for the time being, and will doubtless gross something north of a $1.5bn.
