Avengers: Rage of Ultron Review IGN All

The latest original graphic novel from Marvel Comics -- Avengers: Rage of Ultron -- features the return of Ulton, who just so happens to be starring as the big villain in this summer's Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. But this is no movie tie-in -- it’s an in-continuity story that makes use of past and present Avengers teams to deliver a high-octane thrill ride. It’s a great time, not to mention a great recap of what makes Ultron tick and why he’s so dangerous, but it stumbles in one key aspect: it doesn’t deliver a complete, satisfying story.


The plot might sound a little wonky, but it allows writer Rick Remender to explore all facets of Ultron past and present, including his ever-complicated relationships with his “father” Ant-Man Hank Pym and his “son” The Vision. Speaking of Pym, he'll be in a movie this year, too. Imagine that.
