We’ve been somewhat hard on Black Science of late, arguing that the book’s execution isn’t always on par with its boundless vision. Well, consider 13 the book’s lucky number. Black Science’s latest proves a revitalizing force, Rick Remender and Matteo Scalera delivering a read packed with white-knuckle action, heart squeezing emotion, and all the stress of a runaway rollercoaster. It’s the kind of issue that leaves you panting for more, and it reaffirms Black Science’s status as a book you’d damn well be reading.
