DC Comics' Lobo Co-Creator Passes Away IGN All

Roger Slifer, the co-creator of DC Comics anti-hero parody character Lobo, has passed away. He was 60 years old.


A Facebook post by Slifer’s sister Connie Carlton confirmed the former DC and Marvel writer and editor passed away in his hometown of Morristown, Indiana on Monday due to breathing complications, which stemmed from being struck by a hit-and-run driver in 2012.


Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen created Lobo in 1983, where the character first appeared in the DC comic series Omega Men as a villain. The interstellar bounty hunter also appeared in various comics like Justice League International (another Keith Giffen co-creation) and L.E.G.I.O.N. before hitting the height of his popularity in the 1990s as a violent anti-hero.
