Continuing Disney's recent trend of remaking its animated classics into live-action films, the studio is planning to make a live-action Winnie the Pooh.
Deadline reports that Disney has hired indie filmmaker Alex Ross Perry (Listen Up Philip) to pen the script for the live-action adaption, which will follow an adult Christopher Robin's return to the Hundred Acre Woods.
There's no word on how Disney plans to adapt Pooh and friends, but it will likely use a fair amount of CGI. That's in contrast to Pooh's latest theater outing, a 2011 adaption that rendered the characters in the classic hand-drawn style.
