Justice League of America #13 Review IGN All

Justice League of America hasn't emerged as the vital Forever Evil tie-in that Justice League has been, but at least it offered a great character-building platform for Stargirl and Martian Manhunter. That quality is more evident than ever in this final tie-in chapter. Whatever relevance this storyline had is greatly diminished by a disappointing ending. But at least Stargirl has plenty of great moments along the way.

The format of recent months continues once more. The issue is divided between flashbacks to Stagirl's past and scenes of the present-day battle with Despero, with the former being illustrated by Tom Derenick and the latter by Eddy Barrows. As usual, the two styles don't make for a cohesive comic, though Barrows handles the lion's share of pages himself this time. Some of his work is a little too loose, but there are some great shots of Stargirl and Despero clashing in battle.
