Note: I’ve already posted a spoiler-free overall review of The Clone Wars: Season 6, but for these individual episode reviews, full spoilers are included.
While Anakin played a notable part in the Clone Wars: Season 6 premiere, the second episode was truly all about Fives. With Rex taking off early on, the ARC Trooper was left on his own on Kamino with Tup, where he began to realize a much bigger conspiracy was underway.
We of course know just how insidious the plans of Darth Sidious (heh) are, but the characters don’t. It certainly was interesting to see the Kaminoans meet with Darth Tyranus (it’s so rare to see Dooku go by that name!), and for a second I wondered if they were totally complicit with the Sith. Instead, it turned out they believed Order 66 was a safeguard against rogue Jedi. Still a complete fabrication, but at least one based around protection, not eradication.
