One of the reasons I was looking forward to the big showdown between the Superior Spider-Man and the Green Goblin was the notion that neither character knows quite what to expect from the other. Otto doesn't know for sure that it's Norman Osborn trying to tear his world down, but nor is Goblin dealing with the same Spidey he's clashed with so many times before. That's an element that hasn't come into play as often as I'd like in "Goblin Nation," mostly because of Dan Slott's decision to have Goblin discover the truth about Otto's mind-swap prior to this story. But Superior Spider-Man #29 does tackle that dilemma more than previous chapters have, and that often results in the most enjoyable material of the issue.
