Big changes are coming to Apple's Executive board with key players leaving the company and responsibilities changing hands.
Most notably, Scott Forstall, the Senior VP of iOS, is leaving Apple. Forstall is a significant member of the company (Walter Isaacson's book "Steve Jobs" pegged him at #4 in Apple's hierarchy). John Browett, Apple's Senior VP of retail, is also leaving, with Apple stating they are still looking for a replacement.
There's no definite answer regarding why either are leaving, but Apple has released a lengthy statement detailing who will take over which responsibilities, which includes Jonny Ive taking over Human Interface (software design) and Edward Cue, Senior VP of Internet Software and Services, taking over for Siri and Maps.
