After much speculation, Link has finally picked a running mate -- Fox McCloud will stand by his side representing Nintendo in the 2012 Video Game Presidential Election !
While Link was widely expected to pick Mario -- who he beat to accept the Nintendo nomination -- he instead chose Fox on the grounds that the space traveler was exactly the kind of maverick the campaign needed. While Link didn’t comment on the matter himself, his campaign advisor, Peppy Hare, told IGN that he was confident Link made the right pick. “You're becoming more like your father,” Peppy told Fox, choosing to ignore the question about foreign policy that was asked. “Never give up. Trust your instincts. Press Z or R twice,” he said of Link’s campaign strategy.
