First things first, which is… The Jedi were wearing robes and hoods in this episode! Holy crap!!!
I think we’d all just accepted that, outside quick glimpses here and there (such as the gag of C-3P0 finding Anakin’s robe in Padme’s ship in an early episode), the characters on this show just didn’t wear their Jedi robes – most likely because making the texture and flow of those suckers look right in CGI (on a TV budget) was particularly tough. In fact, I’m trying to remember if we saw any of the main characters wear their Jedi robes since The Clone Wars movie that kicked off this series… Anyone recall any other time? But, like Wookiee hair, it looks like The Clone Wars animators have climbed over another obstacle, one which clearly made me happy – look at this entire freaking paragraph I spent on it!
