Producer Rick McCallum has been an important part of George Lucas' projects at Lucasfilm for the past two decades. But now, like Lucas himself, McCallum has retired from the company.
This of course comes in the wake of Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm, and it's not much of a surprise. While McCallum produced the Star Wars prequel trilogy, the Star Wars Special Editions, and even Lucas' recent film Red Tails, with Lucas stepping down from the company and the new Star Wars films, it only makes sense that McCallum, too, would depart.
