Impossible Road has the body of a racer, the brains of an infinite runner, and the soul of Super Hexagon. It’s a game about speed and hand-eye coordination. Unlike other games that deliver that adrenaline-pumping sense of speed, Impossible Road doesn’t take place in a car or feature an Indiana Jones lookalike – but it definitely knows how to make you feel speed.
You control a white ball – or “The Vessel”, as it’s called – from a third-person perspective as it rolls along a blue road that twists and turns with devilish fervor. But this is no ordinary “road” – it’s really more of a downward spiraling chasm of death; a rollercoaster ride that you’re not strapped in to. You’re only defense against certain death is your ability to maneuver The Vessel at these insane speeds by pressing on the left or right of the screen. In case you’re wondering – yes, it’s insanely hard.
