Quantum and Woody has quickly become one of my favorite comic books. This series embraces its irreverent nature and dives head first into its own insanity. This issue gives us clones, giant, mutant monsters and the best scene involving a goat in the history of comics. These are characters you can't help but love, despite the fact that they are doing a pretty good job of being the worst people to ever call themselves “superheroes.”
Tom Fowler's brilliant character work is on fully display in this issue. The expressions and body language is what sells the scenes, and Fowler sells them hard. I have said this before, but if Tom Fowler is drawing a comic book you should be buying that comic book. He's just that good; you should be throwing your money at him. Quantum and Woody is beautiful, through and through. Plus, those Jordie Bellaire colors are magical.
